Here is why.
1. My grandfather died Sunday. He had accidentally been in the path of an exploding "burn barrel". He was taken to a burn center in Birmingham, AL, but released only 2 days later. He spent that day sick, and even upon being released from the center, was given "Maalox" (sp?) for the stomach pain he was having. APPARENTLY, it didn't help anything, as his stomach was distended as he was hemorrhaging blood into it. Yeah, great health care. My grandmother, his wife of so many years it is not funny, since 1949, found him that same night in their bed. He left behind 6 children, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, was a vet of the Korean War, and had several friends that adored his love of life and patience with it.
I have been so devastated by this that I had to take some time to myself... The funeral was Thursday and it still didn't feel like he was in the casket...
Please keep my grandmother, Helen, in any thoughts and/or prayers you have to offer, as she has lost the love of her life.
2. The Sony Vaio thing. It has given me a few opportunities that have occupied my free time. I do still plan on telling you all more about my trip, but for now, I am still kinda out of it.
BTW, they are not allowing me to upload a wallpaper for your personal enjoyment, as it now belongs to sony, and they can sue me if I upload it.
Thank you all for reading and any kind words you have, please direct them to my grandmother, and I will make sure to send them along.
Amy
