A note I got today.
"What was the point in commenting back to me if you hide them and deny me to see it.
Are you hiding the comments because you don't want anybody to see the truth and denying me because you are scared I might leave another honest comment about your crap!
I was serious about riding the one good dev you have.
Just like reality stars ride their 15 minutes of fame.
And then getting all huffy puffy because you suck DA dick and know all the ins and outs.
Are you fat too?
Sam I am."
The comment:
"Your work isn't worth all the attention you get.
It is like you have one good one that has had a lot of hits on it and ride that one until hopefully you can come up with something to top it.
Which you haven't.
I see your hits. Not because you are popular, because you have been here for a long time.
You need to take the knowledge you have learned from being here for years and post something that is worthy of a hit again.
The only piece you have worth mentioning is your featured dev.
Keep riding it.
Sam I am."
and tbh, i believe in that saying "you are your own toughest critic", and tbh, that being said, i feel im not bad enough to warrant some talentless person degrading my hard work... tbh, he could like blood and gore and crap and just one of my pieces SUITED his style. if i saw SOMETHING in his gallery, i could compare to what his taste is, but no, he has nothing up, no favs and comes to me saying my work is crap.
That's the thing though, you don't know that he's talentless. Just because he choses not to submit anything doesn't mean he's talentless, heck that could be a troll account so his main account doesn't get banned.
All I can say though, is try not to let it bother you too much. Everyone has their own tastes, obviously his don't include what you do. Frankly he could have been a LOT more insulting and childish in his message to you (although some of his comments were just moronic). True he could have just passed your gallery and ignored what he didn't like, but he chose not to.
Remember though, that for every critic you have you have dozens of fans who do love and appreciate what you do and what you create.
That's kind of funny actually
But really, if you don't like them ignore it. Posting this journal probably made him happy. He got the attention he was looking for apparently.
