So, my 2 little guys, Moxy and Roxy went in for surgery 5 days ago to be neutered. They are my little babies, and I get worried if they even hurt themselves jumping about.
Today, and last night...they started to get "physically ill". Now, keep in mind, little Moxy actually had to be taken in yesterday as the vet I used for the surgery had left a tendon piece sticking out and moxy had licked it into a red bulbous stage. My regular vet gave me some antibiotics and sent us home. (keep this in mind, as they do like to clean each other and roxy will lick the medicine/infection clean).
I did also feed them something a little different, and I am hoping this is all it is.
Anyways, I am asking you. What do you suggest for sick kitties? Do you think I should go into the vet who fixed them and say "what did you do to my babies" and trust that doctor will fix it? Should I take them to my regular vet and just tell the other vet to pay for the expenses we have already had to pay?
Help me! They are my little guys!
i'm a little bit surprised that you have to give them medications, i get my two little babies neutered (they're both girls) and they didn't had medications
one thing i remember is that when my father's cat get operated, they put some kind of silver spray on the scar because cats don't like the taste of it
maybe you can ask your regular vet about it
i really wish they will feel better as soon as possible !!!!!
take care of them and of yourself
i will ask about that though, thanks!
My best friend is a vet and she says that when people bring animals in who have been injured by a vet at another practice, they actually phone the person in charge of the other practice and let them know what happened.
