The background is the main problem, it's obviously a raster element and the new gallery description is absolutely clear on this point to try to prevent this kind of error in submission.

Photoshop or Illustrator or something else? Remember the rule of thumb: raster based no, vector yes. So brushes are fine in CorelDRAW or FreeHand or Illy, not for work done in Photoshop or PSP.

...so apparently you use brushes at ALL in photoshop, your vectors arent vectors...i put ALOT of work into these....and i am still fighting for them to be put in vector art...the brushes took a half hour at best...the flowers took days...



...part of a long term project ive been working on. its not "perfect" yet", but i thought the flowers looked damn good, considering its all by hand, no reference used whatsoever..including the shading. ive been working on developing my skills with vector... using only the ideas in my head. These flowers are only a glimpse into that.

Anyways, Ive been quite busy with school and i've been sick. Plus, I almost took others advice to just not post my work so i wont have it ripped, as even though im supporting da as a subscriber, my voice is not heard by the ones i help earn money. I think its fucked up that we, as artists, who make up this site, dont have protection to keep us here. Why this site: [link] can sell works of and and so many others (including my own, one of which is on the page in the link, entitled Captivated Heart) and DA look blindly to our need for the work we put into this site. I think its disgusting how me and so many others have paid for subscriptions and from the release of v5 up until this whole css feature have not been given anything for our money...as nonsubscribers have all the features of a subscription. I really have struggled with this for a couple days. And all the people who have never been ripped say "well, at least you were good enough to rip". Would you like me to rip you off and sell your artwork and give you no credit, because you are apparently too unperceptive or naive to know its happening? To not be able to do anything about it... To feel so small about something you felt so strongly about...putting effort into something only to have someone else take it? I wrote a note to spyed, and of course, Im not good enough to be answered, yet hes good enough to take my money even though i have supported this site through a lot. I may not make any sense and to some of you I may just be bitching about something unimportant, but, im still one of those artists who believe in "community". Though, I wonder if sometimes some seek out the support of a "community" just to have more support for themselves. When i get ripped, i list others affected...i try to get the word out... I want to keep art alive.

Ok, enough of the fever talk. I thank all of my supportive friends....again, you make me who i am online. And is my . Without him, id go too far and not be able to find my way back...I love you baby.

I used a couple brushes and displaced a bit, but the flowers are mine. i cant think of how long ive been working on this whole thing, but this part took about 2 days total, off and on work though.
